English Classes

At the Habibi Center, we provide structured and academically rigorous English language instruction to refugee youth, enabling them to communicate effectively and integrate successfully into society

Literacy Classes

Our Literacy Program helps students learn to read and write, often for the first time, significantly improving their communication skills and enhancing their independence.

GED Preparation Classes

We offers GED (General Educational Development) exam preparation classes to students who are unable to complete the Greek school system. The GED exams are challenging, but with preparation classes for each of the subjects tested, students can pass the exams and obtain an American high school equivalency credential, which opens up more opportunities for their future.

Cambridge Exam Prep Classes

Students are prepared for official Cambridge English exams, boosting their language proficiency and facilitating their integration into educational and professional settings.

IT Classes

Our IT Program equips students with essential digital literacy skills necessary for modern job markets and independent learning. The program is structured in three levels:

Level 1: Students gain foundational skills applicable to work and studies.
Level 2: Students sharpen their skills, becoming more independent IT learners.
Level 3: Students choose online courses (Coursera, FutureLearn, Udemy, or other certified platforms) for independent studies at HC with supervision, obtaining certifications that enhance their employability, including opportunities for remote work.

University Preparation Classes

We empower students for success in higher education by enhancing their academic skills, including critical thinking, researching, writing, and presenting.

Support Classes

Students receive tailored academic support, improving their understanding of various subjects, addressing gaps in prior education, and preparing for academic and career pursuits. These personalized classes help students excel in mathematics, science, or any subject they need assistance with.

Teacher Training & Development Classes

We equip volunteers and advanced students with essential teaching skills and knowledge. This structured program, based on practical teaching experience and relevant literature, provides opportunities for participants to apply new knowledge in their teaching practice.

We also have other programs such as the Spelling Bee Events, Buddies Without Borders, and the Pen Pal Program.
