TAYEBE (AFGHANISTAN)
MAY 2019 TO AUGUST 2021
I am Tayebe and I am 19 years old. My nationality is Afghan but I was born as well as I grew up in Iran. I was at the Habibi Center for 3 years. I had a friend who was going to the Habibi Center and I asked her if I could go there too. So my social worker talked to one of Habibi’s teachers. I met her and she was very kind and happy. I went to Habibi and she asked me some questions and then she explained the rules of the Habibi like I have to be on time, every day I should go there, do my homeworks and so on. I was so excited and I couldn’t imagine meeting one of the best teachers. I didn’t expect him to be like that. I thought he had a formal style but he wasn’t. He was as special as he could be. I haven’t met anyone like him. He didn’t care about where you were from or if you were a girl or boy. He was concentrating on his teaching. However, my teacher was so strict to us. I got a lot of positive things from him like, follow whatever you believe in, don’t be afraid of trying something new, be on time, respect other people. I am glad that I met my teachers and I wish the best luck for them.
