VOLUNTEERING FROM JULY 2024 TO OCTOBER 2024

It really was a privilege to teach the students here at Habibi Centre who are so eager to learn. Seeing the students’ progress in the two months I have been here is amazing. It has been so rewarding to see. I’ve loved my time here and I’m extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with these students. I can say from my experience at school, if you’re a teacher in England you will get a much easier gig at the Habibi Centre! The students are brilliant. I have been really impressed with them. They are such friendly, kind and respectful people. They appreciate the work you put in for them and they really do want to learn. There is a lot you as a teacher can learn about the world from the students as well. It is a brilliant cultural exchange.

The Habibi Centre is a great working environment. The guys here do a great job of welcoming you as part of the team and I’ve really enjoyed getting to the know the other volunteers. A lot of volunteers return, and I completely understand why. It’s pretty special being part of something like this. We are all passionate to help the students learn and the Habibi Centre does this so well. The guys running the Habibi Centre do such a great job to achieve these outcomes. It’s a wonderful place that is of such great benefit to the students. I have warm memories of my time here; thank you guys.
