Hey folks! I’m Mahmoud, 20 years old. I’m from Syria. I was in Habibi Center for slightly over than 2 years. At first, I was asked by my shelter to be registered for English classes, so the journey began with Habibi Center. I joined it to enable myself to be able to talk to others as I was really poor at English. Once I got started I felt a bit anxious about meeting people as I couldn’t communicate with them. Before long, I started getting along with new people and friendly, motivating, empowering and educating teachers I felt more confident to learn. The positive environment there is incredibly brilliant toward us. There they have built up my mindset as well. It was a long journey with Alex who I owe him a lot and I had enjoyable time while he was teaching us and all his motivation and being realistic. Honestly, Habibi Center made me independent, forward-looking and aware while I’m living in Greece. I gave to it all my attention to learn and support all participants at school.
